forward progress

Wow it was hot today! I'm going to say F- on Dickies work shirts from now on. Atleast the work wear you can buy from Walmart. These must be 100% polyester!

I finished a wiring problem in an abs system on a not so sweet Buik this morning. The race car's suspension has now been fixed. Before we ran it last saturday, I noticed a cracked suspension bracket and rewelded it. We stopped testing after noticing some rear end play. Turns out it was a busted unibearing and worn swing arm bushings, probably what also damaged the chasis bracket. But she is all back together and ready to drive to Dave's house in Westlake... back roads of course.

We bought a bunch of Toyota schematics today. I bet Ted will have the 3.4L wiring knocked out in another day or so.

Chris worked on the CJ buggy's wiring. He was able to salvage the electric fan, clocked and replaced a heavy duty 78amp alternator, and remounted the starter relay. I think he's at home right now rebuilding the turbo 400 in his buggy.

Tomorrows another day. We'll be spending Good Friday on the 4runner motor swap, a Chevy leveling kit, a YJ fluid service, an FJ40 front axle rebuild, and hopefully a front 4 link.
Today Ted is continuing on the 3.4L 4runner swap, taking a huge stab at the wiring. Chris is working on a steering shaft, electric fan and alternator on Al's buggy. I'm going to finish working out the electrical bugs in an ABS system and pull the race car's rear suspension apart.

Upcoming projects... 4 link/hydro steer on Al's CJ5 buggy, leveling kit for a Chevy 1/2 ton, Clayton longarm or Jonas' TJ, Weber 34 on Ryan's 90 YJ, axle rebuild and shocks for an FJ40, Davin's SAS on his 02 Tacoma, rear bumper and new springs for Laura's FJ62, headers and doubler work on Jeff's 1 ton Jimmy
