Katemcy Rocks Memorial Weekend

Boy was it rough getting to last weekend. Ted helped me finish the SAS on Davin's Tacoma. Chris finished up the traction bar, steering, suspension tweaks and linkage on Jeff's 1 ton Jimmy. I pushed ahead on my Bronco 2.

Friday evening/saturday mornin... After cutting the rear glass, hatch and roof off the truck, it was apparent the sheet metal over my head was not going to give any sort of protection. So off it went. During that removal, the windshield cracked so it was tossed. Jeff gave me the rollbar out of his Jimmy. I cut that down and narrowed her to fit. As I began to notch the halo bar, the tubing notcher gave up the ghost. Dropping in the a pilars and finishing it off took till 3AM. Then I drove back to the shop because I forgot to bolt the harness belts in.

Ted swapped a clutch in his 2500 Chevy so we could leave at 9AM and get there before lunch.

Day 1 for the Bronco 2... failing brake system, blew the belts off the truck, flat tire, drove back to camp without power steering

Day 2... failing brake system, blown rear driveshaft, grenaded front hub, flat tire
